Announcing iCoach:Basketball - our brand new iPhone application for basketball coaches that makes it easy to track player performance during games and quickly get a summary of key statistics for the whole season!

iCoach:BB is a perfect replacement for clipboards and paper and lets you or your assistant record and track information such as:

  • Shooting from the foul line, two pointers, and three pointers - with percentages
  • Fouls, Rebounds, Assists, Turnovers, Steals
  • Game scores
  • Cumulative stats for the whole season

It's the digital age - time to get rid of clipboards and paper charts and move to electronic stat keeping. You already have your iPhone (or iPod Touch) with you, why not use it to track player stats. iCoach:Basketball lets you define your roster and your opponents, and then record player stats for each game in the season.  You can quickly move from player to player so you never miss recording an important stat. You record Makes and Misses for foul shots, two pointers, and three pointers. As baskets are recorded, the game score is updated as well so you've got a good check against the scoreboard. If you make a mistake, it's easy to adjust the numbers and get back on track. 

Player stats are displayed in the current game and are also calculated cumulatively so you can easily get the stats for the season as it progresses. 

iCoach:Basketball is easy to set up and use. All it takes is a couple of taps on the screen.

  • You enter in your list of opponents in the Opponent Screen
  • Next, you define your Roster. Just enter each player's First and Last name and jersey number
  • Now you are ready to record games. Add a new game and choose from your Opponent list and set the game date.
  • Touch the Stats button to see a list of your players.
  • On the player page you simply tap the button for a Make or a Miss or any of the other tracked stats
  • Easily flip back to the Player list to choose another player for the next play
  • The Roster always keeps track of stats from all the games the player was in.

The screenshot at right shows the stats recording screen of iCoach:Basketball. It's easy to record the stats by tapping the corresponding button. 

In the heat of the game, you might make a mistake and tap the wrong button or credit the wrong player. If you make a mistake, just tap and hold the button to decrement the count.

To choose another player, just tap the Players button at the top or easier still, just flick the page to the right to go "up" to the player list.
