Announcing Who's Paid - our brand new iPhone application that makes keeping track of money that you are collecting as easy as tapping on your iPhone (or iPod touch)!
Who's Paid is perfect for anyone who collects money from a group of people and has to: - Keep track of the total fee
- Figure out how much each person should pay
- Keep track of how much each person has paid
- Know how much has been collected
Whenever a group of people have to pool their money to pay for something - a rental hall, a tour bus, a baby shower gift, anything - somebody, probably you, gets stuck with taking the total bill, figuring out how many people there are, finding out what each person's share is, recalculating the share when people join in or drop out, and keeping track of which people have paid and how much, and which people haven't.
Who's Paid makes it easy. All it takes is a couple of taps on the screen. - You define a group name and enter in the total fee that you need to collect
- Then, you add members (payers) to the group by picking them from your iPhone Contact List - no extra typing!
- As each person is added, their share is automatically calculated based on the number of payers
- When a person pays their share, you tap their status indicator. They are marked as paid and the total amount collected is updated
The screenshot at right gives an overall picture of how Who's Paid works. We have a (small!) Soccer team who has to pay 500 dollars for a season of practice field rentals. Each person was added by picking from the iPhone Contacts Application and Who's Paid divided the 500 dollars by the 4 members so each has to pay 125 dollars. Jane Doe and John Smith have paid their shares. Fred Public hasn't paid anything and Dan Garcia has paid only a portion of his share. We've collected a total of 300 dollars. When Dan or Fred hands you their money, you tap the colored indicator and it turns from Yellow (or Red) to Green. When all the money has been collected, the top indicator turns Green. |
